If you think all therapy is alike, you haven't tried Young Sun and his Genuine Care facility. He and his wife are truly life changing therapists who have helped me, my partner and a dozen of my friends relieve pain after trying multiple and unsuccessful alternatives.

Agree with another reviewer who said that this place is a hidden gem. I went in for back and hip pain. They really listened to me and offered treatment that helped ease my pain and allowed me to get back to my hobbies. Would highly recommend.

Wow, this place is a total gem. This place deserves 100 stars. I had physical therapy here with Jina and she was so amazing. She literally changed my life. I was having a lot of knee pain and with only about six sessions I have no issues at all now. I cannot believe it. Unfortunately, I moved out of San Diego and therefore can no longer have physical therapy there, but I would still be going there weekly if I still lived in San Diego. The staff is very friendly and provide great service. I would say to anyone that is looking for physical therapy don’t waste your time going anywhere else. I don’t think you can have this type of physical therapy, with a holistic approach, and these types of results anywhere else. I am very grateful to Jina and her staff.

Miracle WorkersMy husband heard about Youngsun Kim, the extraordinary physical therapist, from a number of his friends who have been helped by him. Although it was a long jaunt for us (we live in Vista, CA), we decided to see what all the ravings were about. We were thrilled to know that they would accept our regular Medi-Care as payment, and I decided to attend my husband’s first appointment with him in Del Mar. I was VERY impressed with Youngsun’s great knowledge of physiology, his hand’s on approach, high intelligence and great sense of humor. My husband felt like he could really be helped by him (and was!), so I made an appointment for myself to see if they could help me with my chronic back pain due to scoliosis. Because my husband wanted to continue to see Youngsun regularly to help him with his challenging knees and back, I decided to schedule visits with Gina Kim, Youngsun’s delightful wife who is the other physical therapist there. So we were scheduled simultaneously. Wow! They were both SO helpful to both of us!Because of my scoliosis, I just assumed that the now chronic back and sacroiliac pain that I had felt daily for years was something I’d just have to tolerate. Gina proved me wrong! She taught me how to be more gentle with my movements, what exercises to do (and avoid), how to be more conscious of how I move when I walk, and encouraged me to change out my mattress to one that gave more support. Each time I went in to see her she’d work hands on to get the very tight muscles to release, until one day I awoke with NO pain! It remains that way now and I am, of course, delighted and in awe not only at her expertise but at my aging body’s ability to return to more balance. As Gina would always tell me, “it’s never too late!”This husband-wife physical therapy team is THE BEST. My husband and I have been to physical therapy prior to finding their practice, but their expertise and hands on approach is way above the norm! We both feel so very grateful to have found them. They are worth the drive!!!

My son is tennis player. He started to have wrist pain. Based on the rave reviews Dr. Kim received, I called his office and the ladies in the office was able to take my son in with 15 minutes free consultation the same day. Dr.Kim did a thorough examination to my son and gave advices on the turning of the body on hitting to prevent injuries. He did massages on his wrists. Thank you Dr. Kim! We would definitely go back to see you when we need it.

I thought I had to live with pain rest of my life after trying everything and nothing made much improvement. My friend recommended Dr. Kim, I was skeptical about another physical therapy which I went through many before. But as the last resort, I called and set up an appointment. After one treatment, I felt I met a doctor who can finally fix me! I thanked God and my friend who led me to Dr. Kim. After I saw the outcome of treatment from myself, I brought my whole family! My mom who had compression fracture, my younger son who had stress fracture from sports and my older son who developed scoliosis from bad posture. He spends entire 45min hands on solely by him, not by aid or electrical stimulus, etc which often used to fill time. His manual therapy on soft tissue worked so well like magic! I highly highly recommend Dr. Youngsun Kim, true doctor who has deep knowledge how to cure and genuinely care about his patients.

I see Yongsun Kim for a yearlong arm numbness pain. I tried another physical therapist and acupuncturist before. Nothing works. Later my family doctor recommends Genuine care physical therapy to me. My arm numbness was completely gone after three treatments. Working from home during Covid pandemic is causing more shoulder and neck pain. Doctor Kim know exactly where the problem is, and work on each muscle. Also, their group will teach you some exercise which works for you. Highly recommend Genuine care physical therapy!

I was never a fan of physical therapy until I found Genuine Care Physical Therapy..... After three, yes three, rotator cuff surgeries and many, many sessions of physical therapy at other facilities I can say with 110% surety that without Youngsun Kim my golfing life would be over. This is no ordinary P.T office where you see the Dr. for maybe 15 minutes and are handed off merely to repeat the exercises previously assigned. Yeah, you know what I mean..... However, at Genuine Care you are w/the Dr. your full session with focused manipulation. They are the real deal. Expect genuine care @ Genuine Care Physical Therapy. Expect amazing results.

I could barely walk my hips hurt so badly. Only a few weeks later I was walking 20,000 steps a day on vacation with no pain! I was getting desperate, I hurt my right arm and was experiencing constant pain and tingling down to my fingers. I was having difficulty sleeping and feeling very fatiqued. I called a couple of Doctors and was told that I needed a prescription for them to see me then I called Dr. Kim at his Genuine Care Center and after speeking with him, exchanging insurance pleasantries I made an appointment and I am so glad that I did. Youngsun has been a godsend to my body. Went to him for an injured knee that had been replaced, including visiting the surgeon. Within two visits, all pain is gon. Also, worked with me on my shoulders and again, complete relief. Neck pain and nerve impingement also gone. My balance has improved tremendously as has my posture. I was trying so many different physical therapists but not satisfy something’s was lacking finally we found the right. Their name tells all they genuinely care about you and dedication and compassion really made a difference back pain relief and be more active strongly recommend this care to all
